Deanston Cooper is currently recruiting for a Site Agent to work for a highly regarded national civil engineering contractor on a prestigious rail project in the centre of Aberdeen.

This particular project will last for 10 months and the client is willing to consider both candidates living locally and those living further afield that are prepared to work away in Aberdeen for the duration of the project. Future projects can be in the Aberdeen area or Central Belt dependant on candidate requirements. 

Duties include:

• Driving construction phase of project
• Supervising and monitoring the site labour force and sub-contractors
• Managing the interface with Network Rail
• Preparing risk assessments and method statements
• Ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
• Ensuring quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Checking drawings and specifications
• Reviewing construction progress and performance 
• Planning and prioritising construction resources (labour and plant) to support successful project execution
• Delivering project within programme and budget

Applications are welcome from candidates currently working at Sub Agent or Site Agent level for another civil engineering or building contractor. You must however have previous rail experience and a valid PTS Card as well as:

• Technical ability and good organisational skills
• Ability to focus on targets and practical solutions
• Good communication skills with all levels of the workforce

Salary on offer is up to £47 000 plus car / car allowance, pension and healthcare. Overtime is paid for weekend working and subsistence / accommodation is available if required.
