Deanston Cooper is currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a highly succesful groundworks & civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow.

Reporting to the Chief Buyer you will manage the end to end buying process, negotiating and assessing suppliers to maximise profits.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Procuring materials and resources on time and budget to the right quantity and specification standards
• Maximising value through effective buying
• Developing collaborative relationships with suppliers 
• Maintaining and monitoring performance systems for suppliers
• Providing monthly reports and management information to the Chief Buyer

Applications are welcome from candidates with previous procurement experience gained within a Groundworks or Civil Engineering environment. You will have excellent IT, negotiation and communication skills and be at a level where you can manage and prioritise your own workload.
