Quantity Surveyors (All levels) - Scottish Water Projects

Up to £60 000 plus car / car allowance, pension and healthcare

Deanston Cooper is currently recruiting for Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a highly successful, national civil engineering contractor as they embark on a 6 year framework agreement for Scottish Water as part of SR21.

Responsibilities include:

  • Valuation of value engineering options and design changes
  • Producing quantities/schedules for procurement of subcontract packages - tendering
  • Preparation and issuing of subcontract documentation to subcontractors
  • Remeasurement of subcontract works for interim assessment
  • Reviewing and processing subcontract payments
  • Liaising with Project Team to produce Project Outturn Forecast and collective working to maximise Project profit
  • Performing risk and value management & cost control
  • Preparation of project interim assessments/valuations
  • Preparation of monthly management reports
  • Attending site meetings
  • Preparation of contractual correspondence and notifications
  • Liaising with site personnel to obtain site records and reconciling works claimed
  • Assessment of Compensation Events/Valuation of Variations
  • Negotiation of CE’s or Variations with Employer
  • Collect all possible revenues from contracts within specified timescales

Applications are welcome from candidates with:

  • Minimum of HND Quantity Surveying
  • Relevant experience gained working for another civil engineering contractor
  • Preferably previous Scottish Water experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
