Deanston Cooper is currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a highly successful, regional civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow. Projects include Scottish Water, flood alleviation schemes, roads, bridges and marine. Responsibilities include:

• Valuation of value engineering options and design changes
• Producing quantities/schedules for procurement of subcontract packages - tendering
• Preparation and issuing of subcontract documentation to subcontractors
• Remeasurement of subcontract works for interim assessment
• Reviewing and processing subcontract payments
• Liaising with Project Team to produce Project Outturn Forecast and collective working to maximise Project profit
• Performing risk and value management & cost control
• Preparation of project interim assessments/valuations
• Preparation of monthly management reports
• Attending site meetings
• Preparation of contractual correspondence and notifications
• Liaising with site personnel to obtain site records and reconciling works claimed
• Assessment of Compensation Events/Valuation of Variations
• Negotiation of CE’s or Variations with Employer
• Collect all possible revenues from contracts within specified timescales

• Minimum of HND Quantity Surveying
• Relevant experience gained working for another civil engineering contractor
