Deanston Cooper has an excellent opportunity for a Site Engineer to join the small works division of a highly successful civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow. Projects are general civils (roadworks, car parks, drainage, earthworks) up to £1 million and are located across the Central Belt.

The company is committed to quickly training and developing the successful candidate to Site Manager level.

Duties include:

• Setting out
• Ensuring works are constructed in accordance with contract drawings and specification
• Being familiar with and applying procedures and processes detailed in project Health, Safety & Environmental plans and promoting a safe working culture
• Anticipating and resolving problems, in particular related to engineering issues

Applications are welcome from candidates qualified to a minimum of HNC level in Civil Engineering who have gained at least 2 years experience working for a civil engineering or groundworks contractor. You will highly competent at setting out and be at a level where you are able to prioritise time and work largely unsupervised. A full driving licence is essential for this role.
