Deanston Cooper is currently recruiting for a Site Engineer to work for a highly regarded civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow, on an exciting variety of fast paced projects up to £2 million in value, across the Central Belt.

Duties include:

• Providing engineering and technical skills and expertise to operatives, supervision and management
• Undertaking accurate setting out and the management of setting out in line with the project programme of works.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specification and ensuring the accurate construction of works in accordance with client requirements
• Advising the commercial team of any technical or engineering changes that could warrant a variation or cost change
• Producing or assisting in producing Quality, Environment and Health & Safety construction plans including Method Statements, Inspection, Test Plans and Risk Assessments and ensuring compliance
• Ensuring quality of the construction process
• Ensuring that all site works are conducted in a safe manner
• Managing subcontractor performance
• Understanding the project programme to enable progress of work on site to be monitored against programme
• Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with the client
